🤖🚗 Our latest research entitled “Leveraging the edge and cloud for V2X-based real-time object detection in autonomous driving”, has been published in the Elsevier Computer Communications Journal. Well done Faisal Hawlader and François Robinet!

This research investigates the trade-offs between detection quality and latency in autonomous vehicles. Utilising a synthetic dataset, we evaluate various offloading strategies to edge and cloud platforms. Our findings include an analysis of different compression methods and their effects on prediction accuracy and end-to-end delay, aiming to enhance object detection efficiency in autonomous driving systems.
